Tasting notes IGP Mediterranee Le Petit Fontainebleau Blanc Vermentino Chateau Fontainebleau, biodynamic wine, 100% Vermentino (Rolle), soft whites fruits, oily texture. Le Petit Fontainebleau Blanc is a delicious natural wine from the Var region of Provence just north of Brignoles. Owned by Jean-Louis Bouchard, with winemaking overseen by Valerie Courreges, Chateau Fontainebleau was a forgotten plot of vineyard gold until 2009. Since then, using biodynamic principles, the vines have been revived and winemaking has begun again. The 27ha of vines benefit from a natural amphitheatre and a unique terroir of red pelite, to create wines of finesse and quality that are typically Provencale. Due to the vineyard's configuration, the grapes can only be picked up by hand. This enables the domain to harvest parcels separately, letting others continue to ripen, and thus improving the production quality.
